Tour Information for the
Henry A. Wallace Country Life Center
Walking Path - Interactive artists exhibits, vegetable and flower gardens, restored prairie, pond, woodland, and soil conservation practices provide an educational and informational outdoor walking tour.
Birthplace Home - The exterior of the Wallace birthplace home reflects the late 19th century Iowa prairie period. The interior includes various exhibits about Wallace's diverse achievements.
Gathering Barn - A barn replicating the utilitarian barn used on the farm at the turn of the 20th century is available to rent for programs, meetings, retreats, conferences, and family gatherings. For rental information call the Country Life Center at 641-337-5019.
Hours: Open daily, the Country Life Center offers guided tours during the summer hours of 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Self-guided tours are available any time of the day or evening.
Admission: Free will donations are accepted.
